Privacy Policy · Bemelio

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This policy explains how Bemelio processes your personal data when you use the Bemelio mobile app and the bemelio.com website, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU Regulation 2016/679) and the French Data Protection Act.

1. Data controller

Bemelio, a French SAS (single-shareholder simplified joint-stock company) with a share capital of €1,000, registered office at 321 Rue Odilon Lafage, 69490 Vindry-sur-Turdine, France, registered with the Villefranche-Tarare Trade and Companies Register under number 105 084 537, represented by its President, Esteban Remilleux.

2. Data we process

2.1 Account and profile

2.2 Content

What you create and share: goals, updates, posts, comments, polls, private messages, photos and videos.

2.3 Technical and usage data from the app

Device type, operating system, app version, push notification token (with your consent) and internal usage statistics (features used), to run and improve the app.

2.4 Location

Only if you use the run tracker (Run Tracker): Bemelio collects your precise GPS location, including in the background (screen locked or app not in the foreground), and only during a run you started yourself. This data is used solely to draw your route and compute distance, pace and splits. Collection stops as soon as you stop the run. You can revoke this access at any time in your device settings. Bemelio never sells or shares your location data.

2.5 Connected sports services

Only if you choose to connect a sports service such as Garmin Connect. The service then sends us summaries of your completed activities: type, date, duration, distance, elevation, pace and, depending on the activity, its route. We use them only to suggest updates to you: nothing is published without your action, and you choose whether the route appears. We do not keep health measurements such as heart rate or calories, even when the service sends them. We never sell this data and never use it to train artificial intelligence models. You can disconnect the service at any time in the app: we then stop receiving data and delete the activity data we hold within 30 days. Updates you have published remain your content until you delete them. Your use of the connected service itself remains governed by its own privacy policy.

2.6 Connecting with experts

When you contact an expert from the app (visiting their website, calling, sending a contact request), we record the request and share with the expert the information needed to reply to you, including through Bemelio messaging.

2.7 Professional spaces and payments

For experts, merchants and advertisers: professional information (name, business, contact details, website) and data related to commissions and invoicing. Payments are processed by Stripe: we never see or store your card numbers.

2.9 Business outreach

We may contact professionals (coaches, shops, associations, app publishers) using their public business contact details to introduce Bemelio. They can object at any time by writing to us.

2.10 What we don't do

We don't collect your phone contacts or biometric data, and we never sell your personal data.
